THE CONFERENCE
The XXII Brazilian Conference on Automation (CBA) has been organized biennially since 1976. It is among the longest running and most important international conferences of its type in South America. Its 22nd edition, organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) at the Universidade Federal da Paraiba (UFPB), with support of Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Paraíba, will take place from 9 to 12 September 2018 at Hotel Tambaú, in João Pessoa, PB, Brazil.
CBA brings together professionals from the scientific and industrial automation communities. It provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas, and the exploration of current research and development, across all aspects of automation and allied technologies. CBA 2018 is sponsored by IFAC (the International Federation of Automatic Control) and SBA (the Brazilian Society of Automation) and IEEE Bahia Section.

School of High Studies
The School of High Studies will happen during the 8 and 9 of september 2018, previously the CBA 2018. Will always happen two seminars in parallel, comprising non concurrent themes, allowing each participant follow an entire thematic theme. Will happen 5 seminars, each one with approximately 4 hours each, one of 2 hours and other of six hours.
Note that the School of High Studies also will be open to graduate students, with no attendance fee, with the objective to increase the interaction of graduate students with the CBA.
