Rector's Office

The Rector's Office is the executive unit of the university, heading the university's top management. Responsible for all kinds of executive orders, such as designations, assignments, new contracts, as well as diploma issuance, award delivery and honorary title bestowals, it is the leading branch of institutional representativeness and policies. The Rector and the Vice-Rector are regular professors of the Federal University of Paraíba nominated for a four-year joint mandate which can be reinstated for a single time only. They have their own staff and management cabinets, besides counting on several units of specialized consulting and technical support for decision making.

Full name: Liana Filgueira Albuquerque

Short description: Professor at the Department of Sugar and Alcohol Technology. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Her educational background covers engineering and psychology, especially chemistry and beverage industry. As a researcher, her interests include renewable fuels, air quality, water management, and others.
